Senior Payroll Specialist

At Kelly®, we're seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to work in Shelton, CT.
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 remote
Mon- Fri 7am-3pm
Senior Payroll Specialist:
• Performing accurate and timely processing, verification, analysis, and reporting of hourly and salaried payroll data for multiple business entities.
• Assisting in continuous analysis and improvement of payroll processes and procedures.
• Processing all aspects of assigned payrolls (500+ employees), including time entries, new hires, terminations, tax information, benefit deductions, bonuses, and more.
• Reviewing and validating interfaced data from SuccessFactor to the payroll system.
• Reconciling payroll liabilities and preparing check requests and wire transfers.
• Ensuring accurate and timely year-end processing, including reconciliation of tax issues.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 5-10 years of experience processing payroll from start to finish, preferably in a large, multi-state, union environment.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have advanced proficiency in Excel and intermediate skills in other MS Office programs.
• Have knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and employment law.
• Have knowledge of basic accounting methods and principles.
• Have excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
