Payroll Specialist | Full-Time, Hybrid

MSP Real Estate is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join it's Milwaukee-based team. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting employees with payroll questions and assists with additional projects and duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and process 800+ person payroll using Paycom software
- Compiling data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions
- Polling electronic timesheets and reviewing the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy; identify and resolve discrepancies related to payroll
- Processing bi-weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll system
- Work with leadership to ensure accurate pay of employees
- Work with leadership to ensure accurate pay of employees
- Contacting various employees and/or leadership for any missing information
- Research employee questions concerning paychecks and payroll in general
- Pulling payroll reports from Paycom
- Develop policies and procedures with accounting and human resources for key payroll processes; collaborate with accounting and human resources
- Assist with additional projects and duties as needed
- All other duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Associate degree, Bachelor's degree; preferred
- Previous payroll experience; preferred
- Experience with HCM software or Paycom software; preferred
- Strong computer aptitude, intermediate with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Problem Solving: identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze information
- Interpersonal Skills: ability to communicate orally and in writing and manage well at all levels of the company
- Judgement: display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgement; and make timely decisions
- Planning and Organization: prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and develop realistic action plans

- Frequently required to talk or listen. The ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other employees is crucial. - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, sitting for extended periods and extensive work at a computer is common, occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must occasionally move boxes, office equipment or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
