Description:

The Sr. Payroll Specialist will oversee the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees international payroll and payroll related procedures and processes.
  • Processes payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, change to pay rates, and any applicable payroll adjustments.
  • Manages employee and manager inquiries related to payments.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to payroll processing.
  • Identifies and supports department efforts related to payroll systems.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience payroll experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and intense attention to detail
  • Proficient with HRIS/Payroll software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • Paylocity and Blue Marble experience
  • Previous remote work environment
  • International payroll experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
