GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Knowledge Management Analyst will play a key role in leading the implementation of an enterprise-grade Knowledge Management platform, formulating KM strategies, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and enhancing the organization's knowledge-sharing capabilities. This position requires demonstrated deep expertise in KM methodologies, project leadership, cross-functional coordination, and leadership.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Define implementation requirements and tactically oversee the implementation of the KM platform, and its consequent operations and evolution.
- Develop and execute Knowledge Management strategies, practices, and policies in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration across departments and teams.
- Lead with establishing and managing Knowledge Management processes, including knowledge capture, documentation, organization, and retrieval.
- Lead the organization, maintenance, and optimization of knowledge repositories and resources.
- Partner with various teams to identify knowledge needs and opportunities for process improvement.
- Lead and actively participate in KM-related change management and adoption efforts across the enterprise.
- Provide training and support to employees on Knowledge Management best practices, encouraging a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Participate in usability testing of the documentation to gather end-user feedback and incorporate improvements accordingly.
- Lead the facilitation of knowledge-sharing workshops and meetings to foster a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and transfer.
- Enforce Knowledge Management policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
- Mentor junior KM analysts, providing guidance and support.
- Analyze usage data and feedback to drive continuous improvement in knowledge sharing.
- Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration across departments and teams.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of Knowledge Management initiatives.
- Conduct regular knowledge audits to assess the quality and relevance of the content in the knowledge base, ensuring it remains up-to-date and accurate.
- Oversee the creation of training materials and resources for internal KM initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for knowledge-related queries and provide timely and accurate responses to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with IT teams to enhance Knowledge Management systems and tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote the value of Knowledge Management across the organization.
- Champion Knowledge Management as a strategic initiative, advocating its importance to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Knowledge Management, leveraging this knowledge to enhance the organization's KM practices.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to varying levels of analytical daily tasks.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment such as a personal computer, VOIP telephone, printers, scanners, etc.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
- INTERNAL: Management group and all levels of staff.
- EXTERNAL: Vendors, management, other financial institutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Science, Business, or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 or more years of professional experience preferably in financial services at mid-tier organizations (1,500+ employees). Experience with implementing enterprise-grade KM solutions required.
- KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of KM principles, techniques, and tools, with the ability to apply them effectively to drive business value.
- Proficiency in using Knowledge Management systems, collaboration platforms, and content management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify knowledge gaps and implement solutions for process improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with change management principles and experience in guiding organizations through KM transformations.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, aerospace) with knowledge of compliance and quality standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other web technologies is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
- Required to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of any issue that may arise regarding resources under scope of responsibility.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Certification in Knowledge Management is a plus.
