This Customer Requirements Planning Analyst (Sales Analyst) is responsible for sales operations in partnership with a cross-functional team of key stakeholders, both at strategic account(s) and within Toro’s residential mass business. Functions within sales operations include retail & shipment forecasting, order management, sales execution, and business intelligence analytics reporting. Recommend and execute strategies & tactics that improve supply compliance to customer requirements, demand fulfillment, and maintenance of target inventory levels, in order to support annual financial objectives.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Serve as the primary team member that partners with the Lowe’s Inventory Requirements Planning (IRP) team to execute all inventory and order fulfillment & replenishment targets for Lowe’s stores and distribution centers for all Toro residential product categories.
- Ensure that all Toro supply chain functions comply with stated customer requirements within the Lowe’s Gateway portal, and that all Lowe’s purchase orders are aligned with Toro’s current and projected product availability.
- Lead compliance violation dispute, documentation, & resolution processes for the Lowe’s account.
- Responsible for loading consistent, accurate, updated data and information in Toro’s & Lowe’s operating systems to facilitate on-time in-full (OTIF) product deliveries to all distribution centers and Lowe’s stores.
- Create, maintain, and distribute analytics to key stakeholders that include retail actuals vs. plan, out-of-stock (OOS) levels, purchase order (P.O.) status, vendor managed inventory / consignment (as applicable) levels, and other business-critical reports as prioritized.
- Participate on a cross-functional team in the demand forecast process to ensure shipment & retail volume flows meet divisional financial objectives, while balancing seasonal demand and production capability metrics.
- Provide insights and guidance on retail sales forecast by product category, with suggested updates as necessary, to assure that inventory is available, allocated, and in stock, so that both Toro and Lowe’s can meet on-time delivery commitments.
- Recommend order configurations based on sales & inventory data and facilitate optimized truckloads and shipment timing with distribution centers and freight carriers, to optimize the supply chain for both Toro and Lowe’s.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested.
Other Job-Related Components:
- Reports to Manager, Sales Analytics.
- Works with the RLC Mass Sales team, internal cross functional business stakeholders at Toro, and retailer partners.
- Hybrid working conditions with workspace at Toro corporate headquarters in Bloomington, MN.
- Travel as necessary (up to 10%) to partner with the Lowe’s Inventory Requirements Planning (IRP) team and facilitate the optimized execution of overall sales operations.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, math, or related field.
- 2-4+ years relevant work experience required for Level II.
- Advanced analytical skills including the ability to interpret data such as retail drivers & trends.
- Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-initiative and independent decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel),
- Familiarity in the use of SAP (or similar) preferred.
- Experience with MS PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau (or similar programs) strongly preferred.
- Sales operations or supply chain background strongly preferred.
