Exciting Opportunity to Join the Global Consumer Insights Team!
eBay is seeking a Senior Insights Manager to lead Global Fashion Brand insights for the Company. Fashion is one of the top priority growth areas, supported by full funnel marketing in multiple markets. In this high visibility role, you'll report to the Director of Consumer Insights and will work in a hybrid capacity based out of our New York, San Jose, or San Francisco office.
By joining the Global Consumer Insights team, you'll have an opportunity to make an immediate impact as we look to create best-in-class consumer-centric advertising and marketing. We are looking for strategic and diverse problem solvers to roll up their sleeves and partner closely with our cross-functional teams and agency partners in a fast-paced environment.
What you will accomplish:
You will make an impact by leading the fashion brand insights work globally, while also being the advocate for the consumer in all settings. Specifically, this role involves identifying insights about the fashion consumer to guide creative development, collaborating with the Brand team on creative briefs and campaign strategies, and end-to-end campaign pretesting and campaign measurement across multiple countries. Additionally, you will craft strategic syntheses as well as proactively identify areas for continuous improvement in eBay's advertising both from a creative and media optimization perspective. You will also present to mid-senior leaders of the Company to keep them informed through easy to understand stories and points-of-view.
Additional responsibilities:
- Lead research to guide creative executions and media optimization from design to analysis and recommendations, leveraging qualitative, quantitative and AI tools.
- Create compelling, insightful storylines that illuminate opportunities and threats to creative and media planning.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional fashion squads and external agencies in multiple markets.
- Act with a sense of urgency throughout the process to identify efficient and effective ways of working and also to ensure business opportunities are identified and actioned swiftly.
- As this role requires heavy data analysis, partner with agencies to ensure delivery of clear stories, best practices and recommendations, supported by data.
- Look beyond the obvious and ensure the what/so what/now what are very clear and actionable.
- Identify new potential tools to complement your campaign insights toolkit.
What you will bring:
You're an experienced Consumer Insights professional with a focus on media measurement to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- 6-8 years of related work experience in Consumer Insights
- Experience in campaign development research, ad pre-testing, campaign in-market measurement, and media measurement research is required.
- Proven ability to distill actionable insights from complex data and explain findings with a POV to business leaders in a digestible and compelling manner.
- Resilience, grit and a can-do attitude with a sense of urgency.
- Phenomenal communication skills in a hybrid (Zoom/office) environment
- A collaborative approach to work effectively with cross-functional teams across a global organization to build a plan, gain alignment, and implementation.
- Business acumen and curiosity, and an ability to see the bigger picture.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. A master's degree is a plus.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$126,800 - $187,550
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
