Foot Locker, Inc. is searching for a Senior Manager, Customer Analytics & Insights to join our Global Data, Analytics, and Insights organization, working across Foot Locker’s brand portfolio globally. This innovative leader will lead Foot Locker’s Customer Analytics and insights to deepen our understanding of consumers and inform communication, product, experience, marketing, and media strategies based on data-driven insights leveraging innovative, cutting-edge analytic tools to support and drive growth across all aspects of our business.

Our growing Customer Intelligence team is looking for a leader who is passionate about driving customer centricity across the organization and is masterful at translating complex analytics into actionable, compelling, future focused data-driven narratives that compel action and fuel growth. The Senior Manager, Customer Analytics & Insights can work in a remote/virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead global Customer Analytics and insights including overseeing enterprise customer health/ development tracking, Acquisition and Retention tracking/forecasting, Vendor/Brand shopper intelligence, customer segment profiling, market trends analysis, competitive intelligence, and ad hoc comprehensive Customer Analytics projects to inform strategic planning across the organization.
  • Serve as Customer SME and partner with business teams, Data & Analytics org, Consumer Research/VoC and senior leaders to oversee and execute customer insights initiatives to identify growth opportunities among our key consumer segments and vendor partners.
  • Demonstrate confidence and act as a trusted advisor when consulting with internal clients to align business and learning objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Athletic Footwear/Apparel industry and Foot Locker’s core customer base, integrating 3rd party data and consumer research into customer analyses to provide business teams with a holistic view of the total addressable market and key growth opportunities including modeling the size of prize/ROM.
  • Direct ad-hoc customer analytic requests across the organization and deliver actionable data-driven customer insights to key stakeholders, including senior leaders, utilizing analytical toolsets including but not limited to SQL, Python, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, 3rd party tools and more.
  • Serve as our SME in customer health trends including maintaining, enhancing, and socializing our global enterprise and banner customer health reporting to cross-functional teams and senior business leaders across the organization. Lead presentation of key acquisition and retention trends and opportunities leading to greater literacy around customer metrics.
  • Develop clear and actionable Customer development initiatives driven by advanced segmentation, cohort analysis, acquisition and retention trends/tactics, top decile customer analysis, churn prevention and more.
  • Establish and maintain a suite of self-service Customer Analytics tools including co-leading the development of a comprehensive customer profile dashboard, customer intelligence engine/toolkit, vendor customer insights and more in partnership with the Omni-Customer POD leader and Consumer Research/VoC teams.
  • Improve sophistication, productivity, and reusability of ad-hoc analytics shifting from reactive to proactive customer insights.
  • Build new capabilities to drive more efficient data analysis and develop new communication strategy framework for sharing customer insights with teams across the organization.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of two data analytic professionals. Provide guidance, training and cultivate growth opportunities for team members within a Performance Coaching environment.
  • Provide technical supervision and constructive feedback to analytics performed by direct reports and other analysts within the Customer Intelligence team.
  • Partner with teams across our DAI org including Data Science, Retail Intelligence, and Enablement to identify gaps in current Customer Analytics capabilities and develop new models, analytics/measurement frameworks, data products and reporting to enhance/evolve our toolkit.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive toward greater understanding of our customers and deliver data-driven insights with strategic implications and actionable recommendations to shape future strategies. Analyze results and develop engaging, insightful, and actionable deliverables including leading presentations to business teams/SLT.
  • Foster a customer-centric mindset by putting our customers first and educating teams on how to utilize data and insights to inform business decisions and uncover opportunities to drive incremental growth.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest data, technology, analytics, and retail best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading analytic teams and/or initiatives with a focus on improving Customer Analytics capabilities and driving data-driven decisions.
  • Customer data analytics experience in Retail with advanced skills in customer segmentation is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with an innate desire to see others succeed.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and dashboard solutions such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience writing advanced SQL Queries and hands-on experience in at least one analytics-oriented programming language.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced statistics, data manipulation, and research methods.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts including conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, SEO, SEM, Email, and other direct response media are preferred.
  • Must be able to think both creatively and critically with ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams.
  • Strong ability to interpret raw data and translate it into insightful recommendations – transforming analytics into compelling narratives that drive business decisions.
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $120000 - $165000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
