The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a pivotal role within the TSE division of Ziff Davis, assuming a wide range of responsibilities crucial to the financial planning and analysis function. Reporting to the SVP FP&A, the role will encompass critical tasks related to leading the consolidation of the division, supporting the financial planning of corporate overhead departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, update, and maintain financial models that project short and long-term financial performance of the division.
• Support Ad Hoc analysis to evaluate the financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advise on actionable strategies.
• Lead and support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast updates for all G&A depts. Provide financial leadership for all G&A depts. Monthly review of budget/forecasted results against actuals, including frequent interactions with all departments.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports to share with leadership. Highlight variances and trends and provide insights on root causes.
• Reconcile expenses on a regular basis. Maintain vendor detail expense models and reconciliations to support G&A leadership.
• Review and spot trends and proactively address risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to optimize month-end reporting and FP&A processes.
• Provide quarterly metrics to support our IR team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, Google Sheets.
• A passion for learning and growing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• 2-4 years of financial modeling and strategic analysis experience, with prior experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance or FP&A
• Previous experience in technology companies and a publicly traded company is a plus.
• Proven ability to understand and improve complex systems, paring a solid grasp of strategic considerations with an eye for critical details
• Oracle Fusion and PBCS experience are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to flex and prioritize deliverables as necessary.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with finance and non-finance team members.
