This position will report to the Finance Supervisor and has high impact and visibility to Executive management. Primary responsibilities of this role are to assist in the financial analysis of operations, asset liability management, forecasting, profitability, budgeting, and various special projects company wide.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
- Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to SFCU policies, procedures, philosophy and standards of performance.
- Model and/or forecast credit union performance using Asset Liability management Software.
- Ability to pull data and create reports using SQL as needed.
- Partner effectively with leaders and subject matter experts across the company to generate insightful and timely analysis.
- Provide ad-hoc projections and analysis as needed and propose comprehensive recommendations.
- Prepare annual corporate capital and operations budget and review variances to budget monthly.
- Prepare monthly loan data files for upload into loan analytics program and balancing.
- Prepare monthly Current Expected Credit Losses calculation and review associated reports.
- Prepare monthly cash flow analysis.
- Make recommendations on investment purchases to the VP of Accounting and Finance and CFO.
- Review investment subsidiaries including the recording and reporting of investment purchases, maturities and income accruals.
- Review Vendor Due Diligence reports for accuracy.
- Assist in analyzing new regulation and developing action plans for implementation.
- Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay abreast of industry and business issues and understands and can apply this knowledge in current activities.
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and ability to work closely with project teams to ensure financial goals are met.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
Five to seven years of similar or related experience including budget/forecasting, Asset Liability Management, and investment management.
Education / Training:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of credit union products and services.

- Hands-on knowledge and experience with credit union asset liability software and all related concepts.
- Possess well-developed communication skills using tact and persuasiveness to reach an objective and maintain goodwill.

- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Proficient in writing and SQL.
- Accuracy with numbers, attention to detail and strong reporting skills are needed.

- Self-Motivated individual with willingness to learn, accept responsibility, and tackle new challenges with a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in written form.
- Perform all work within established policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
