Research Assistant/Laboratory Technician, Department of Oncology - School of Medicine - Georgetown University Medical Center

Research Assistant/Laboratory Technician, Department of Oncology - School of Medicine - Georgetown University Medical Center
Job Overview
The Research Assistant/Lab Technician has duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Perform complex laboratory and research related tasks - in vitro immunology assays, mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and ELISA
  • Perform in vivo studies in animal models and mouse colony management
  • Evaluate experiment results using statistical and multivariate analysis, and perform data interpretation, including manuscript preparation

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's level training in Biology, Chemistry, or related field or Master's level training in same
  • At least 1 year of experience as part of a research team in an academic setting
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in basic molecular biology - for example, PCR, cloning, western blot, mammalian cell culture
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Working experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Availability to reliably commute daily to job on Georgetown University campus
