Job Description
This position is a key finance professional role, supporting the Plex line of business. This role will be the primary finance support across the Plex business. This role will be critical to our performance culture, investment spend and SaaS KPIs, while supporting operational and strategic initiatives to strengthen Rockwell’s broader software business. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills, effective executive communication skills, a sense of advocacy and entrepreneurship, comfort with ambiguity and change, strong SaaS acumen, and excellent financial and operational modeling capabilities. Prior high-growth SaaS experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, Forecasting and Reporting:
- Prepare annual operating plan quarterly forecast, and monthly outlook, working with business partners to ensure an accurate forecast and logical and achievable plan.
- Develop financial models (continuous use and ad-hoc) that assist in decision making
- Assist in a KPI-based, detailed planning process in collaboration with business partners and other members of the finance team
- Build and manage weekly, monthly, and reporting cadences related to sales and funnel performance
- Coordinate with teams to provide accurate budget/forecast updates, including analysis of key trends
- Continually improve management reporting to enhance visibility and reliability across the business. Improve processes to lessen manual reports and work with peers to ensure the right data is being tracked
Analysis:
- Actively monitor performance; proactively communicate results and potential risks to the business
- Retrieve and analyze data and present reports to management for use in supporting operational and business objectives
- Conduct actual vs. forecast / budget financial variance analysis on monthly basis with meaningful insights to management to support decision making, help understand financial implications to rolling forecast, and enable business partners to manage to their respective budgets
- Act as a business partner supporting program leaders in understanding performance and financial implications of decision making with well-reasoned, concise analysis
- Take initiative and ownership to identify areas of opportunity/improvement with data-driven commentary and recommendations
- Accumulate results and prepare presentations to disseminate information to management for review and approval
- Partner with teams to perform numerical analysis, process analysis, or create new tools to help business partners drive strategic decision making. This will include but is not limited to:
- Business casing to help effectively compare and decide on the correct initiatives.
- Collaborate with business partners to improve operational efficiency and identify acceleration opportunities
Other:
- Ad-hoc special projects as assigned
- Proactively look for innovation in existing processes and work with peers to continuously improve FP&A team operational efficiency and effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related

Preferred Qualifications
- Typically requires 8 years total work experience
- Ideal candidate would have at least 2-3 years in FP&A, SaaS Accounting, or business operations role
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology organization
- Experience working with Sales, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders
- Growth mindset and proven track record of execution across multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Expert-level MS Excel skills, with experience analyzing large quantities of complex data
- Knowledge of key SaaS metrics, as well as the levers behind them
- Excellent communication skills – presenting the appropriate level of detail for decision-making, catered to the audience
- Attention to detail and high level of diligence
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – build relationships among peers and others in the business and become a valuable business partner
- Driven by outcomes, with an ability to meet challenging deadlines and changing requirements
- Prior experience working with Workday Financial, Adaptive Insights, and Salesforce CRM
- Experience working in a PE-backed scale-up organization
