Job Duties
Join our team as a Senior Financial And Budget Analyst! The Senior Financial and Budget Analyst role in the CFO's Budget and Forecasting team combines responsibility for financial management and oversight of VITA's platform contracts with development and presentation of VITA's customer rates and financial impacts. Additionally, the analyst will be asked to complete ad hoc requests as they are presented.

Minimum Qualifications
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint,
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis.
Knowledge of business, cost accounting principles, concepts, and practices.
Experience in finance or government accounting, financial reporting, and general business processes.
Strong preference for Virginia budget development and execution experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, develop and communicate options and reach valid conclusions.
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with peers and senior level agency leaders, to provide clear, relevant, and usable information.
Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and demands while meeting critical deadlines.
Excellent attention to details.
Ability to actively participate in meetings to drive decisions and resolve issues with financial and contractual impact.
Ability to negotiate on financial terms and conditions.
Ability to provide financial analysis of financial terms and conditions.
Ability to build and maintain strong collaboration amongst teams and other key stakeholders.
Experience providing executive level briefing and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate, as needed, with other team members.
Additional Considerations
Previous public sector experience desired but not required.
Knowledge of Virginia Department of Accounts systems, policies, and procedures.
