Position Summary
The Registered Sleep Technologist performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, associated interventions and records scoring as assigned by clinical manager. These tests are to include but are not limited to the following Sleep Medicine procedures: PSGs (polysomnograms), MSLTs (multiple sleep latency tests), MWTs (Multiple Wakefulness Tests) and Seizure Montage applications. Interventions to include the application of supplemental oxygen and positive airway pressure per departmental protocol and under the direction of the Sleep Center Clinical Manager and Medical Director. In addition to testing the RPSGT can provide oversight and training of other clinical staff.

- Certification by the board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
- South Carolina RCP licensure or exemption as specified by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.
- Must be computer-literate with complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems.
