Job Summary:
Working with the Medical Staff Division Leadership and the Credentialing and Licensure Team, the Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for organizing and maintaining physician compliance with medical record deficiencies, state required and specialty-specific continuing medical education (CMEs), facility required education, and other associated tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Credentialing and Licensure Team to accurately monitor and manage specialty CME for physicians (i.e., Stroke CME for neurologists)
- Collaborates with the Licensure Team to accurately monitor and manage all physician CME compliance for state licensure requirements
- Collaborates with the Credentialing Team to monitor and manage mandatory education assignments from client facilities
- Oversees the tracking of medical record deficiencies and administrative suspensions, ensuring timely data entry and physician communication, escalating to Medical Staff Division leadership as appropriate
- Collaborates with internal teams such as Clinical Informatics and Quality, with external facility HIM and MSO departments, and with TeleSpecialists physicians to ensure compliance with medical record requirements.
- Tracks medical record completion for any resigning TeleSpecialists physician and works to ensure completion before the conclusion of the physician’s tenure, reporting to the Medical Staff Division Leadership and , as needed
- Analyzes internal opportunities for improvement
- Working with the Medical Staff Division Manager, leads internal process improvement projects
- Collaborates and supports Medical Staff Division Leadership
- Attends meetings as scheduled
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Experience with SalesForce preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of basic administrative and clerical systems and procedures
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in correspondence (i.e., spelling, punctuation, sentence structure)
- Prioritizes tasks and projects and asks for help when needed
Supervision
- The Sr. Compliance Coordinator of the Medical Staff Division reports to the Manager of Medical Staff Division.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field required.
- Minimum two years related experience.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer >75% of the time
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
