The position is responsible for performing complex confidential research and investigations of money laundering and other financial crimes. Must have in-depth knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor all aspects of client relationships and conduct customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence when necessary for a combination of client types including complex clients.
- Analyze client account transactions to detect suspicious activity. Must have the ability to analyze large sets of data in a timely manner.
- Make decisions on appropriate action to take regarding the need for further investigation.
- Document the summary of investigative findings (e.g., copies of statements/checks, media search results, results from internal system searches, etc.) and prepare cases for review and approval by management.
- Provide risk rating recommendations to management for clients’ relationships reviewed, by determining if client is low or potentially high risk or if account closure is recommended.
- Onboarding - Review and Analyze prospect client(s) prior to onboarding.
- Perform supplemental processes for complex clientele.
- Exhibit a sense of urgency, adhere to deadlines and meet department quality standards for accuracy and completeness of work.
- Assist in training other associates and assist the Manager with various other job duties and assignments.
- Participate in exams/audits by assisting in gathering of data for federal regulators, state examiners, independent auditors, and law enforcement.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
Education Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Required –
- 5 – 10 years of financial institution experience
- 5 – 10 years of BSA/AML experience
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
- Microsoft Office suite
