Senior Business Analyst 

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Business Analyst who can work with business stakeholders to define the requirements, champion process documentation and think outside the box to articulate solutions that can be delivered by technical team. This role demands a blend of business acumen, project delivery and technical expertise to ensure that the needs of both product and technical stakeholders are met.

Responsibilities: style="color:black">

  • Must have experience with utilizing knowledge of business requirements to develop business process solutions; documenting business requirements and functional specifications for story creation, and backlog prioritization utilizing JIRA.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, converting business needs into detailed business requirement specifications that guide the development of innovative solutions.
  • Champion change for both existing and new solutions, documenting and communicating planned new functionalities to various business and technical stakeholders.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and end users to make sure new functionality/changes are well communicated using Slack, Teams, Confluence and other collaboration tools.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding for smooth project execution.
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders while effectively communicating business needs and constraints to the technical team.
  • Analyze requirements, document processes, and propose potential solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Ensure the proposed design aligns with business requirements and is technically feasible for the development team to implement.
  • Create accessible technical guides and documentation to support system adoption and use.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to plan and execute system testing, ensuring our solutions surpass expectations. Work with UAT users to validate new and updated functionalities.
  • Plan and execute on projects/enhancements. Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and internal audit requirements for all projects.

Qualifications: style="color:black">

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advance degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with a demonstrated history of leading and managing projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes, with a strong track-record of creating clear and effective process documentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering large-scale, complex and cross functional projects.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate with global teams across various time zones, demonstrating effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a proven ability to think analytically in complex situations.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Visio or Trello. Ability to quickly learn new tools as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA), Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2), or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, SAFe) will be highly valued.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $110,900.00 – $160,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
