ABOUT THE ROLE   
Join our mission-driven B Corp as a Senior Analyst on our Commercial Business Intelligence team. In this role you will be a key contributor to our growth; operating as a key partner to ensure our Energy and Climate Practice (ECP) and Business Partnerships (BP) teams are equipped to address critical business decisions supported through data analysis. From conception to delivery, you will lead analytical projects, create insightful dashboards, and manage leadership requests. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller who can organize large data sets, conduct detailed analysis, and present actionable insights to leadership. This is a full-time position preferably based within commutable distance to our Portland, ME or New York, NY offices.  For highly qualified candidates a remote office in the Eastern Time zone, with agreement to travel for training and collaboration, will be considered. where you'll enjoy a flexible hybrid working environment.  Exceptional candidates based outside of the listed locations may also be considered.  In addition, you agree to travel, periodically to 3Degree's offices for training or team collaboration and to conferences and customers as required. Frequency and cadence is team dependent, but on average is 1-6 times annually. This position reports into the Senior Operations Manager, Commercial.
   
WHAT YOU’LL DO
   
  • Provide data and analytics expertise for Commercial project and business teams   
  • Consistently deliver timely qualitative and quantitative data analyses, providing critical insights that drive strategic planning and enhance operational effectiveness
    across key business development initiatives and product/service offerings   
  • Work with Commercial leadership and other 3Degrees functions to identify opportunities for improved data management   
  • Establish processes for cleaner data entry/integration, and increased data hygiene    
  • Develop consistent and automated reporting and dashboards and refinement of key performance indicators   
  • Provide, maintain and evolve clear, accurate, and insightful dashboards to stakeholders using Tableau and Salesforce   
  • Utilize data and applicable tools in a strategic manner to shape sales forecasting, identify emerging trends, and generate informed recommendations for innovative solutions   
  • Track and analyze data on a quarterly basis to provide clear customer targeting, territory assignments, sales processes, and product and service strategies   
  • Transform complex data findings into compelling visual narratives, leveraging exceptional storytelling abilities and strong visualization and presentation skills   
  • Support delivery of key recommendations during quarterly and annual planning process
       
ABOUT YOU    
You are a naturally driven self-starter with a proven ability to present actionable insights and collaborate with team members across broad range levels, while thinking about the bigger picture of how your analysis can help leaders make decisions backed by data. To be set-up for success in this role you bring the following:   
  • Demonstrated expertise with over 5 years in Business Intelligence and data analysis within sales operations, showcasing a track record of successful outcomes   
  • Proficient in data management, with advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making processes   
  • Competency in programming or querying languages to enhance data manipulation and analysis capabilities   
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects from initiation to completion, showcasing strong project management skills   
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, contributing to robust decision support within the sales operations domain   
  • Blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution, enabling effective decision-making aligned with organizational goals   
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills, with a comfort level interacting across all organizational levels   
  • Previous experience working in services or consulting organizations is preferred   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in sales operations, Business Intelligence or finance   
HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS   
Within 30 days,   
  • You will have a firm understanding of 3Degrees’ Commercial structure, team responsibilities, products and service offerings   
  • You will have developed a practical understanding of our ECP and Business Partnership internal processes
    (prospecting, sales process, invoicing, project deliveries), along with the technologies that support these   
Within 90 days,   
  • You will have a firm understanding of cross-functional processes, key tools (Mission Control, Lexion, Artemis, Salesforce) and data flows   
  • You will have a clear understanding of our KPIs and associated data, excelling in reporting and supporting analytics   
  • You will be proficient in managing and closing support requests in Jira   
  • You will be proficient in generating and managing reports and dashboards to support the commercial team   
Within 6 months,    
  • You will be working with minimum supervision, actively managing Commercial Business Intelligence needs and projects   
  • You will have developed a more advanced understanding of the unique challenges our teams face and be able to propose solutions and proactively support teams with data   
  • You will be proficient in the key support tasks of the role and begin to recommend and manage full process and data improvement projects
       
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  
  • Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is equivalent to $87,000 to $100,000 USD. The Employment Agreement will be converted and stated in the currency applicable
    to the candidate's location   
  • The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role will  exceed the base pay, as total compensation  includes other incentive pay including bonus and profit sharing   
  • The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range
    is subject to change and may be modified in the future
