The Sr Accounting Manager/Controller/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will direct and oversee the activities of the team of accounting professionals providing outsourced accounting services to a diverse group of small growing companies, direct the preparation of current financial reports, setup internal controls, provide assistance with financial management to the accounting team and directly to business owners. The industries serviced are software, managed IT services, nonprofit, transportation, health, construction, professional services and others. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, efficiency, and productivity of the staff.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee Accounting Team located across multiple offices to improve collaboration and work transparency
- Assess the scope, plan and execute new projects across states and across country borders
- Consult clients and their teams, train internal staff and make presentations
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, etc.
- Review direct and indirect tax work performed by various tax teams
- Review payroll and employee benefit programs to recommend improvements
- Monitor business performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Work with the CEO and other executives to plan the work of, coordinate and establish priorities for the Accounting Team
Desired Educational & Work Experience:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant designation
- International finance knowledge (preferred)
- At least 8 years of experience in financial management
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience successfully running multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and working knowledge of accounting software
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs by building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement
