Position Overview:
This position revolves around supporting the preparation and ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness in SEC filings and other pertinent reports. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in refining financial reporting procedures, fostering extensive collaboration across various departments including Controllers, Investor Relations, Corporate Governance, Treasury, and Global Business Services, to optimize operations and elevate the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.
Primary Duties:
Financial Reporting Oversight: Lead the compilation and preparation of data for earnings releases, various SEC forms (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K), and the online Annual Report. Contribute to the examination of financial data in Proxy Statements, Registration Statements, and other filings as required. Apply expertise and discernment to tailor standard practices to meet project demands, operating with a degree of autonomy and under general supervision.XBRL Compliance Assurance: Engage in the review process to ensure adherence to XBRL standards, serving as a technical advisor and operating independently within established policy guidelines.Process Enhancement and Technological Integration: Collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing automation and leveraging technology in financial reporting, with a focus on ensuring the efficient and accurate dissemination of financial information to external stakeholders.Audit and SOX Compliance Assistance: Provide support for both internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with SOX controls.Benchmarking and Reporting Optimization: Analyze competitor disclosures to identify potential enhancements to the company's reporting practices.Financial Reporting for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Discontinuations: Support the consolidation and financial reporting processes for newly acquired entities or discontinued operations.Corporate Function Collaboration: Work closely with various corporate functions on projects related to financial reporting and governance.Team Engagement: Actively participate in and contribute to team endeavors, taking ownership of specific tasks and deliverables.Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in Excel and strong overall computer skills.High technical proficiency, analytical acumen, and financial reporting expertise.Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial systems/processes, and controls.Demonstrates a sense of urgency in responsibilities and is proactive in achieving results.Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.3-5 years of experience in a combination of Big 4 and multinational corporations, with a significant focus on SEC reporting and compliance.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SharePoint.Expertise in XBRL.
