Tacombi is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in New York City!
The Senior Accountant for Tacombi has an entrepreneurial spirit. They are an energetic and enthusiastic team member who can balance business needs and functional goals while constantly pushing for high quality and standards in the work that they do.
The Senior Accountant for Tacombi is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the financial operations of Tacombi, while working in partnership with the rest of the Tacombi Holding finance team. They will own the month-end business unit close reporting into the Accounting Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
Sales - Record daily sales for all Taquerias from Toast
Third Party Sales - Record sales and fees from all third party platforms, such as Stripe, DoorDash, Grubhub, etc.
COGS - Allocate commissary costs and review COGS for accuracy
Inventory - Record monthly adjustments to match the inventory counts
Sales Tax - Remit monthly sales tax and perform monthly reconciliation
Tips - Assist Payroll Specialist with validating tips weekly
Expenses - Record monthly employee expense reports from Concur
Occupancy - Prepare monthly sales reports and distribute to certain landlords for percentage rent
Cash - Perform bank reconciliation of Tacombi bank accounts.
Assets/Liabilities - Record monthly Taqueria accrual and other miscellaneous entries.
Reconciliations - Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Analysis - Research and provide commentary on variances to budget.
Participate in the annual audit as it relates to Tacombi.
Assist with implementation of department-wide initiatives.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
You should have:
Finance or Accounting Bachelor's Degree
2-5 years experience in accounting
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Restaurant 365 & QuickBooks proficiency a plus

Competitive Salary, Starting at $85,000 - $100,000
