The Senior Accountant with CPA is responsible for all core accounting functions in the company including but not limited to: maintaining financial statements and reports, filing various taxes, and various account reconciliations.
Education/Certification(s):
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accounting (CPA) required
Experience for Senior Accountant:
5 years + of previous experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting
Tax Accounting experience a plus
CMA a plus
Requirements for Senior Accountant:
CPA required
Strong understanding of accounting theory
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Adaptable to change
Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

Senior Accountant duties include but are not limited to:
Primary responsibility is to assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
Assist with financial and tax audits
Assist with preparing tax returns, information returns, and corporate reporting requirements
Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
Other projects as assigned
