Form of work We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports. Your expertise in accounting principles and financial analysis will contribute to the overall success of our organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform complex financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with both generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive basis of accounting (OCBOA) - income tax basis.
Manage and reconcile G/L accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
Assume primary responsibility for the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and support to accounting team, reviewing work and providing feedback.
Assist with coordinating annual external financial statement review/audit with to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Analyze financial data; provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and making recommendations for process improvements.
Assist in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis, as needed.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Master's or CPA is highly desirable.
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Staff and/or Senior Accountant or in a similar financial accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
