Overview:
This position is responsible for generating, planning, and detailing schedules for private and corporate events for Unionized Employees according to the Collective Bargarning Agreement for McCormick Place Convention Center, Wintrust Arena, and Arie Crown Theater.

McCormick Place located in downtown Chicago is the largest and most flexible convention center in North America., With over 2.6 million square feet of exhibition space, the campus proudly hosts some of the world’s largest and most prestigious conventions, meetings, and trade shows, welcoming approximately 3 million visitors to Chicago every year.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning, executing and scheduling of unionized employees.
- Prepare schedules using Scheduling Software to input schedules, update changes, edit hours/shifts and other adjustments as needed.
- Communicate scheduling issues to Scheduling Lead/Director and work closely with the Asst. Payroll Manager to ensure Payroll is complete by using Evention Software
- Demonstrate an ability to mitigate any scheduling conflicts, adjust schedules based on employee leave requests, call-offs and availability
- Must have a comfort level of communicating via telephone to numerous employees during any given shift.
- Have solid knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to understand the scheduling processes, policies and procedures of the organization
- Ability to create a working relationship with Operational Leadership to be able to provide input and assistance with scheduling preparation and issues.
- Assist with oversite and completion of Borrowed Labor and Temp Labor processes.
- Effective communicator, have flexibility with scheduling, a sense of urgency, able to multi-task, sharp with a professional demeanor
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
- At least two years’ experience with ABI software or equivalent scheduling software preferred
- 1-3 years’ work experience in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, Sales or related field
- Prior experience in a unionized environment highly desirable
- Strong computer skills, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, able to type no less than 50 wpm
