Position Overview:
The Scheduling Coordinator role is a dynamic, multidimensional position, responsible for ensuring adequate security staffing at a multitude of client locations. As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our security personnel's schedules. You will be responsible for ensuring that client sites are appropriately staffed with qualified security professionals at all times, while also managing shift changes, time-off requests, and any unexpected scheduling adjustments. Your ability to balance operational needs, employee preferences, and client requirements will be essential to the success of our security operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with operations managers, supervisors, and security personnel to create and maintain accurate schedules that meet client needs and operational requirements.
Handle scheduling adjustments, including shift changes, time-off requests, and emergency replacements, while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Monitor and manage labor costs by optimizing scheduling efficiency and identifying opportunities to improve resource allocation.
Communicate effectively with security personnel regarding their schedules, ensuring clear and timely dissemination of information.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client contracts, site requirements, and specific security protocols to ensure accurate staffing levels.
Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline the scheduling process and maintain up-to-date records.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on scheduling metrics, attendance, and compliance.
Collaborate with the HR department to onboard new security personnel and assist in the recruitment process as needed.
Rotating On-Call weekends with additional compensation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· College degree preferred, or extensive, relevant experience.
· Expert level communication skills.
· Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office and have the ability to adapt to new software.
· Possess a positive, can-do attitude!
· Must have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize.
· Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and consistency.
· Must be able to work flexible hours as demand dictates.
· Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to clients’ sites.
· Able to work closely with Human Resources, Payroll, and Billing Depts.
