Job Description
The Sales Operations Manager, Power Generation is responsible for managing the Generator Power Sales, Service Sales, Parts, and Service Teams. This Manager with oversee Generac Industrial Power Sales power generation equipment including fully automatic transfer switches, accessories, and generators designed for commercial and industrial-sized applications with multi-megawatt capacities, after-market service, and replacement parts. WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Use existing knowledge in the application of standby power systems including generators, transfer switches and control systems to develop, manage and execute the annual business plan.
- Increase market penetration and business performance by designing and implementing sales strategies that meet company targets.
- Actively manage the business to include forecasting to ensure profitability.
- Manage Generac Sales, Service Sales, Parts, and Service teams based in Colorado and New Mexico.
- Manage the relationship of the entire Generac team. Set Sales, Parts & Service team goals, hold them accountable, assist in their training, personal growth and assist in customer relationships.
- Work with the Engineering Services Department to strategize on technical solutions that give DVL a competitive advantage.
- Promote and advocate new/emerging technologies as well as engineering services. This includes maintaining a technical presence with the consulting engineering community, significant end-users, market influencers and local professional organizations.
- Participate in Manufacturer forecasting meetings and being prepared with accurate forecasting data.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- College degree required. BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or an Engineering related degree preferred to successfully communicate with consulting engineers.
- Recent & relevant sales team management experience with demonstrated success. Leadership training preferred.
- Recent & relevant successful electrical products & services sales experience. Experience with power generation equipment strongly preferred.
- Experience selling similar electrical products & services in the Colorado/New Mexico is preferred. This experience could be from selling UPS Systems, Generator Systems, Switchgear and/or electrical control & monitoring systems.
- Understanding of electrical generation, distribution, & control systems.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
- Basic understanding of NFPA 70E & OSHA electrical safety regulations.
- High level of the Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes.
- Valid Driver’s License to drive to customer sites.

The pay range is $100,000 - 125,000 plus quarterly bonus based on relevant experience
