We are seeking a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all physical aspects of our organization's facilities. You will play a critical role by overseeing the maintenance, safety, space utilization, budgeting, and vendor management of our organization.
Essential Functions:
- Facilities Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate repairs and renovations with internal staff and external contractors/vendors.
- Be willing to make light repairs around the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Safety and Security:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor security systems, including access control and surveillance cameras, to safeguard the premises.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare for various scenarios.
- Space Planning and Utilization:
- Optimize space utilization to accommodate current and future needs.
- Coordinate office renovations and furniture installations.
- Maintain accurate records of space allocations and occupancy rates.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Obtain competitive bids for services and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-effective measures to achieve budgetary goals.
- Environmental Sustainability:
- Implement eco-friendly initiatives to minimize the Falcon’s environmental footprint.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry best practices regarding sustainability.
- Vendor Management:
- Select, evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party service providers, such as janitorial services, landscaping, and security firms.
- Ensure vendors adhere to contract terms and deliver high-quality services.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or related field is preferred. A combination of education, training, and experience is also acceptable in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
