Position Overview:

We are in search of an experienced Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives, implement robust safety programs, and instill a culture of wellbeing across our roofing operations. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing accidents, and upholding the highest safety standards within our company. Travel within the Texas regions is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to roofing operations.

· Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of job sites, equipment, and processes to identify and address potential hazards.

· Collaborate closely with project managers and site supervisors to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

· Deliver safety training for new and existing employees, emphasizing best practices and compliance with industry standards.

· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventative measures.

· Stay abreast of industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices, updating company policies accordingly.

· Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, and compliance documentation.

· Engage with external agencies, such as OSHA, to ensure regulatory compliance and respond to inquiries or inspections.

· Travel within Texas regions to oversee and support safety initiatives on various job sites.

· Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator, with a preference for experience in the construction or roofing industry.

· Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, particularly those relevant to roofing operations.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

· Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, OHST) is a plus.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant safety management software.
