We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentation
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, including CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop and deliver safety training programs
- Stay up-to-date on changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
- Work closely with HR department to ensure compliance with workers compensation laws
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA or EPA, as necessary
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role as a Safety Coordinator or related position
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements
- Experience conducting root cause analysis for accidents or incidents
Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
