ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.
AFSS is seeking an RF Engineering Technicianin Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.
Key Role:
- Performs maintenance and routine diagnostic testing designed for computer and network equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot related product malfunctions, modify, wire fabricate and document devices related to work.
- Assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements.
- Directs and leads preparation of engineering plans and site installation.
- Works from rough engineering notes, drawings, sketches and verbal instructions or defined plans to perform appropriate task.
- Provides technical support in such areas as research, design, development, testing, analysis, fabrication, manufacturing, and welding of hardware deliverables.
- Performs installation, integration, and testing of hardware deliverables.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Investigates available integration lab hardware and software products, evaluates and recommends products based on user requirements.
- Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate integration lab equipment at the lowest cost.

This position is offering a pay range of $70,000.00- $85,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with communication-electronics and RF systems operations and maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in related technical field - OR -Bachelors degree in hard science and 3 years experience or Advanced degree and 1 year experience.
- U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) System and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attach Characterization Systems (PARCS) and their network architectures.
