Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and surveying services in support of infrastructure projects of all sizes and types. Using advanced technologies, our team of Field Technicians, engineers, and surveyors, provide quality data and professional insight to help our clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality information, professional insight and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety and set the standard for the engineering industry.

SUE Technician III responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• You will work with a team of professionals, including engineers, project managers, land surveyors, CAD and SUE technicians to produce high quality deliverables that meet the guidelines established by the American Society of Civil Engineers
• Operate geophysical equipment, such as Ground Penetrating Radar and electromagnetic pipe and cable locators, in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area
• Work with CAD software as part of your daily documentation process
• Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and help train junior crew members
• Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with client, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities
• Effective maintenance, cleaning, and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies
• Perform daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members during safety tailgate meetings
• Drive commercial motor vehicles, however a CDL license is not required
• Direct set up for proper maintenance of traffic signage
• Complete monthly equipment and supply inventory

Tech III Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 6+ years of experience working in SUE or related fields
• Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans
• Must have a good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
• A good aptitude for using and understanding computer software
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical screening and obtain a DOT medical card
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
• Enjoy working outdoors on a daily basis in all types of weather
• Able to walk several miles a day across varying terrain
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 week continuous stay across the state and Colorado and Western regions
• Experience overseeing others is a plus
• OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
