Who we are: GCEA is a small, non-profit, member-owned rural electric cooperative. Located in the beautiful Gunnison Valley in the Southwest part of Colorado. GCEA serves portions of Gunnison, Hinsdale, and Saguache Counties including the mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado. This is a full-time position that will be reporting to the Gunnison headquarters/Crested Butte outpost. This position plans for the construction of electric services including line design and preparing staking sheets.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university is desired.
• Associate degree or technical school degree required. Adequate experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of (2) two years’ experience in Engineering Technician position or related cooperative experience with educational requirement.
• Minimum of (4) four years’ experience in Engineering Technician position or related cooperative experience without educational requirement.
• Knowledge and experience in electrical distribution line extensions, and surveying is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,862.00 - $114,483.00 per year
