Job Summary
The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Sr Technician, Electric Project Engineer to join their team within the Light & Power Utility. In this role you will play a crucial role in the efficient planning and scheduling of electric distribution operations. Your primary responsibilities will be obtaining easement information, collecting RFPs, and tackling a backlog of un-archived projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Archive and manage project design and construction information in document management system, ArcFM, and Maximo.
- Negotiate and obtain easements and crossing agreements for electric distribution projects.
- Perform customer notification, and other support duties related to electric construction and maintenance projects.
- Act as a single point of contact between Purchasing and the Electric Project Engineering and Electric Field Services groups for procuring contract services related to construction and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate with all work groups to effectively manage Electric Project work priorities, schedules, projects, reports and maintenance requirements in Maximo and ArcFM.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling of construction and maintenance activities related to maintaining electric system assets and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Engineering Standards and Electric Field Services to standardize and document assets, practices, and procedures according to industry best practices.
- Coordinate with Engineering Standards and Electric Field Services to plan and perform Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance analysis on electric distribution system assets to maximize reliability, optimize maintenance practices and increase safety.
- Maintain asset data accuracy/consistency through adherence to governance documents and internal practices to best support efficient and reliable operation of the electric distribution system.
- Utilize asset data to feed predictive models to forecast maintenance and replacement needs to prepare for budgetary needs including staffing, assets, capital projects, and ongoing O&M.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Work Order Tracking, Planning, Preventative Maintenance, Inventory, Assets, and Locations modules in Maximo.
- Create and manage standard operating procedures for all Maximo functions, including work orders, asset management, inventory management, scheduling, and workflows for Maximo.
- Prioritize and schedule projects taking into account operational needs, inventory and staff availability needed to support all construction and maintenance activities.
- Develop training materials and train end-users in the efficient use of Maximo for asset data collection and condition analysis.
- Oversee business workflow processes related to Maximo for accountability and control.
- Assist in the analysis of business operations to understand process strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvement to processes and functions within Maximo.
- Document business requirements to be used in developing technical solutions.
- Generates, analyzes, and interprets complex data reports in support of business operations.
- Assists with developing and loading of all Capital Project assets and associated information.

Required Education

Experience Requirements
- Three (3) years' maintenance or operational experience in Electric Distribution Systems; experience in computer software usage as related to office software programs.

Certifications/Licenses/Specialized Training
