SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate 100% on-time print release for all Build Phases as identified in SEWS development timing plan. Achieve internal design / development expectations through Product Realization Process.
- Coordinate/facilitate manufacturing design reviews /master sample reviews. Create/maintain Design Issues list (Bucket List) and lead meetings for all build phases.
- Comprehend / mark up / sign off 2D wire harness drawings. DFMEAs tracking and completion by CNs/2D drawing release. Ensure ITCRFs are answered in a timely manner and communicate solutions or roadblocks to T&S.
- Perform cost management to ensure all costs are documented in CCD/CN system [IAA & PER] and communicated with Sales / Business Planning.
- Good communication, time management and interpersonal skills required, support day-to-day activities/customer requests. Participate/support cross functional team meetings/document/track/distribute lessons learned.
- Interface directly with external customer -coordination meetings, GIM, RMS, Logbook Issues, customer engineers and launch team. Lead critical issues until resolution is defined/implemented. Manage CS-11510/CS.00050 and TCR activities.
- Travel to customer sites and SEWS plant to support pilots, launches, FPSO and Monozukuri or VAVE activities.
Qualifications:
- 4 yrs. BSEE/BSME or equivalent degree with experience as a Wire Harness Release Engineer.
- 6 yrs. + Wire Harness (EDS Engineer) experience (Stellantis experience preferred)
