Description
Develop, implement, validate, release final designs for production, and improve ICE passenger vehicle, Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicle Instrument Panel Clusters (IPCs) including digital gauges, 8" & 12" displays, semi-conductors, embedded electronic control units (ECUs) graphic processor and vehicle processor software, connectors, terminals, and plastic brackets, using IBM DNG, IBM RTC, Teamcenter Vismockup, Engineering Change Management, and Vehicle Spy tools, and neoVI FIRE2/RAD-Galaxy hardware. Define electrical interface control document (ICDe) requirements for IPC system, subsystem, and component interfaces, and resolve packaging issues with engineers responsible for interfacing systems, subsystems, and components. Assure Vehicle Program Initiation (VPI) to Start of Regular Production (SORP). Perform design reviews, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Review Based on Test Results (DRBTR), and Design Review Based on Failure Modes (DRBFM). Sign off on Touch, Appearance, Lighting, and Controls (TALC) and Appearance Approval Report (AAR) before release to supplier for production.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: developing, validating, and releasing final designs for production of passenger vehicle Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) including gauges, displays, embedded ECU processor software, and connectors, using Vehicle Spy tool, and neoVI FIRE2 hardware.
