National Vision is currently looking for a Regional Vice Presidentfor our America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses brand to join our growing team!
The Regional Vice President is responsible for the overall Store Operations within their dedicated geographic region of approximately 150 store locations located within Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Minnesota. This position would ideally be located in Chicago or Detroit, but other locations might be considered.
What Would You Do? The Specifics.
This Senior Leader will ensure that financial, customer service, and talent development results are achieved. They will have total P&L responsibility in their territory. This individual will lead by example, ensuring that NVI's Vision, Mission, and Values are fostered in a way that encourages growth and development and contributes to overall customer satisfaction. Partnering with the Divisional Vice President, this individual will ensure the below expectations are met or exceeded.
- Build operational plans that allow Store & District Team to meet or exceed sales results against budget.
- Coach & develop team of District Managers effectively through store visits, feedback, and overall leadership approach.
- Analyze data & reports to understand business results in key areas including sales, customer service, productivity.
- Celebrate achievements and react quickly to support opportunistic areas.
- Lead and effectively implement Company initiatives focused on improving sales, patient experience, doctor retention, and technology that improves patient experience.
- Ensure that all stores within the region maintain quality standards of eyewear, eye care, customer service, and visual merchandising.
- Manage region budget with significant attention to detail on net sales, controllable contributions, and business profitability.
- Understands full scope of patient demand, doctor coverage, and proper scheduling of patients and associates.
- Effectively lead and participates in annual budget events.
- Ensure District Manager, Associate, Managers, and Doctors training and performance meets or exceeds expectations.
- Ensure all customer service complaints are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain proper merchandise and fixed asset inventories in all locations.
- Monitor retail shrinkage and where necessary supports effective strategies to mitigate unnecessary loss.
- Work with DMs to ensure appropriate talent & succession planning strategies are in place, including focus on Licensed Optician and Management backfill.
- Collaborate when needed with Recruiting Team to support hiring of Doctors, Store Teams, and District Managers.
- Ensure that New Store Opening plans are executed effectively at District and Store Level.
- Collaborate with Corporate (RSC) Partners to ensure needs of the region are heard and effectively supported. Where Store Operation obstacles exist, works effectively with RSC leader to resolve.
- Ensure that administrative tasks such as email, business reporting, and approvals are completely effectively and timely.
Work Experience
- 7+ years in District or Higher Level Multi-Unit Leadership role (required)
- Licensed Optician or experience in Optical Industry (preferred)
- Associate or Bachelor Degree (preferred)
Travel Requirement
- 75 % travel, including overnight and out of state travel.
