The Territory Vice President of Loss Prevention Manager develops and implements the Loss Prevention strategy for Multi Districts across assigned Territories. This role is responsible for driving results through achievement of goals related to inventory shortage, budget lines, cash variance and operational compliance. In addition, the TLPM is responsible for the selection, ongoing development and talent management of exempt Loss Prevention associates across their assigned Territories. The District Loss Prevention Manager team within assigned Territories report into Territory, Vice President of Loss Prevention.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
SHORTAGE AND OPERATIONAL CONTROLS
Lead team of DLPMs to analyze financial results, shrink data, operational assessments and Loss Prevention metrics to identify trends and develop team strategies to improve execution
Lead DLPMs and cross-functional partners to conduct high shrink investigation to develop root cause of loss and develop solutions that prevent recurrence
Develops and implements effective operational strategies to drive profitability
Maintains a high level of communication with business partners to minimize business interruptions and potential liability
Maintains a strong partnership with the Territory and District Managers to ensure execution of all operational efficiencies, company programs and Kohl's policies
Conduct store/market visits as needed to ensure implementation of Loss Prevention and store best practices, challenge down trending and up trending stores and address issues by location
TALENT MANAGEMENT
Responsible for the recruitment, hiring and retention of exempt level Loss Prevention team within assigned Territories.
Manages District Loss Prevention Managers and indirectly manages Store Loss Prevention Associates
Responsible for ensuring their team completes the required onboarding training curriculum for their position
Conducts talent sessions in partnership with Human Resources to effectively assess promotability and development opportunities of team members
Maintains succession planning of talent to support Kohl's growth
THEFT DETERRENCE AND RESOLUTION
Ensures that all internal and external investigations are completed in manner that complies with all corporate and legal standards
Appears as a representative of Kohl's in various legal proceedings
Supports investigative efforts into policy violations, business abuse and safety and or HR issues as needed
Ensures physical security functions and controls are in place to ensure protection of Kohl's assets
Evaluates and recommends deterrence programs and tools based on market and industry trends
OTHER DUTIES
Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Vice President of Loss Prevention and/or Corporate Loss Prevention
Professionally negotiates and executes agreements with, attorneys, customers, court systems and other governmental agencies as needed
Maintains customer service and customer friendly culture

MANAGEMENT
Manages direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals in accordance with Kohl's policies and practices
Prepares and analyze unit plans and reports

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
Strong time management, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Multiple years of progressive Loss Prevention experience at the multi-store level to include experience leading multi-store teams
Adheres to Kohl's policies and procedures and maintains high ethical standards
Ability to travel stores within assigned area and maneuver around sales floors, stock rooms and offices
Frequent travel, which includes overnight stays are required
