At Avyxa, we have fostered a team that is driven by innovation and fueled by passion. An essential part of the Avyxa commercial team is the Regional Account Manager, (RAM) - Oncology. This individual will be responsible for driving the appropriate utilization of our products within the community oncology setting of care. The RAM will be responsible for detailing healthcare providers and administrators on the benefits of our products as well as provide details on our contracts that support our product purchases. The role requires established relationships with physicians, pharmacists, administrators, nurses, and other professionals responsible for evaluating, adopting and integrating pharmaceuticals in accounts within the assigned territory. A proven track record with a demonstrated ability to understand and convey key concepts of the clinical elements of oncology products and contracts along with a working understanding of the dynamics of the community oncology setting, IDN’s & Health Systems, including but not limited to GPO’s, aggregators, and payer nuances of care will be required for this role.
Responsibilities:
· Work with management to develop key account and secondary account profiles with accompanying business plans for introduction and adoption of our products within these accounts.
· Work closely with Avyxa management, including National Account Directors, (NAD’s) to execute Avyxa’s commercial strategy helping to pull through contracts and product adoption of accounts within the territory that are aligned with GPO’s and aggregators aligned with the NAD’s.
· Continue to foster the relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and key administrators within the community oncology setting that you bring to Avyxa while continuing to expand your network of professionals that will aid in the adoption of our products within your assigned territory.
· Foster teamwork, collaboration, and productive communication in a professionally competitive, fast paced environment, that places emphasis on teamwork, company and delivering innovative medicines to meet the unmet need of patients.
· Support the patient access and field reimbursement team.
· Lead and conduct QBR’s of targeted accounts with cross-functional team.
· Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the community oncology space including an understanding of key wholesalers, GPO’s, distributors, and aggregators, along with relevant payer initiatives important to Avyxa accounts as it relates to the adoption of our products.
· Demonstrate the ability to independently and proficiently apply selling skills including writing and verbal communication using marketing materials associated with Avyxa products, business planning, ask probing questions when in challenging discussions, closing contract discussions, and helping where needed at the practice level to support product adoption.
· Operate independently and with urgency, meeting required submission deadlines and meeting with accounts as well as Avyxa management.
· Represent Avyxa and our products consistent with FDA approved guidelines and, in a manner, consistent with Avyxa’s compliance and ethics policies.
· Travel expectations: Overnight travel up to 60% to make in person visits with accounts within assigned territories as well as travel to regional and national industry conferences within and at times outside of assigned territories.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
· Knowledge of key accounts and working quality relationships of key stakeholders within practices & clinics within your assigned territory.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office with demonstrated acumen utilizing PowerPoint and Excel for analysis of data and development of working business plans conveying strategies and tactics aligned with Avyxa product adoption.
· Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate key contract terms specific to Avyxa products with alignment to specific GPO’s and aggregators.
· Ability to demonstrate develop and sustain strong relationships with Avyxa team members as well as key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
· Ability and proficiency in your ability to communicate collaboratively with cross-functional team members both field and office based.
· Demonstrated ability to be a flexible, collaborative, problem-solver with the ability to execute business plans and grow Avyxa product adoption and sales.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 5 years of direct experience in oncology regional account management, with a proven track record of success in the community oncology setting of care.
· Prior oncology product launch experience preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of the community oncology space including an understanding of key wholesalers, GPO’s, distributors, and aggregators, along with relevant payer initiatives important to Avyxa accounts as it relates to the adoption of our products.
· Prior contracting experience in the community oncology setting of care.
· Solid analytical, organizational, problem solving, communication and leadership skills required.
