Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Cashier-Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers. Receptionists will provide administrative support across the organization. Receptionists will handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Serves customers by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately.
- Answers, screens, and forwards any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
- Maintains security by following procedures.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties.
- Listens attentively to customers in order to satisfy the customer’s needs.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures, including NADA Code of Ethics and O’Brien Auto Team Code of Conduct.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a similar role desired. Auto industry and/or accounting experience preferred.
Environmental and Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an Office Environment. Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Sitting, standing, talking, walking, hearing/listening, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive hand motions (such as typing) are all physical requirements of the job.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
