At Allure of Zion Assisted Living we are looking for Receptionists/Life Enrichment Aides to join our team!

SALARY: $14/Hour

SHIFT TYPE: 1st Shift/ Including Every Other Weekend

SUMMARY: The receptionist and life Enrichment Aide responsibilities are to perform clerical support in an efficient manner and assist with the operations of the life enrichment department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established facility policies and procedures and as directed by the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer telephones, determine the nature of the call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate office and/or resident room.
  • Issue and collect identification badges as visitors sign in/out.
  • Operate copier, office machines, etc., as directed.
  • Operate telephone system, transfers, voicemail administration and setup and operate paging system when required.
  • Provide directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
  • Assist with inter-facility communications.
  • Facilitate activities as directed by the Executive Director (i.e., setting up necessary equipment and supplies, escorting residents to and from the activities area and providing instruction).
  • Supervise and assist residents engaged in scheduled activities as necessary.
  • Make routine visits to in-room residents and assist them by writing letters, running errands, and providing assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary.
  • Observe and document resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement in facility activities.
  • Interview residents or family members to obtain activities information.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
  • Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to assure that daily activities can be performed without interruption.
  • Others as deemed necessary and appropriate or as directed by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Experience in Assited Living preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have valid Drivers License

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such a weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
