Receptionist Overnight, Bop

Hiring an Administrative Receptionist on the overnight shift to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our Bureau of Prisons (BOP) unit at Abraxas Academy in Morgantown, PA.

Abraxas Academy is located minutes off of Exit 298 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks County and provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth.

Wage: $15.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Health & Welfare: $4.57 per hour

Shift: Overnight, Third Shift: Wednesday - Saturday

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and minimum one (1) year office related
experience.
Other Qualifications:

At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
Valid driver's license from employees state of residence.
Valid registered vehicle insurance.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

In this role, you will:

• Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees as soon as they arrive at the facility
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort and distribute mail and/or deliveries
• Maintain office and facility security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
