According to detailed instructions, policies and procedures, greets and directs patients and visitor. Updates patient registration information as needed. Retrieves patient charts and files forms or reports in charts. Answers telephone and relays calls or takes messages. Supply information regarding the various departments. Maintains necessary records and logs of patient visits.
Performs related duties such as sorting and distributing mail, photocopying records, monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness, and provide general administrative and clerical support.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Less than one year of basic clerical training and six to twelve months of previous work related
- Experience plus one to three months of on-the-job training.
