- Verifies all accounts/procedures done appropriately including verifying accounts billed properly.
- Assists in IT support/troubleshooting for technical staff and Radiologists.
- Performs TALK (radiology dictation system) dication, transcribes letters, reports, statements, and
- memoranda.
- Prepares patients for procedures per department standards and protocols, ensuring adherence to proper identification checks.
- Verifies/confirms patient appointments.
- Responsible for running Quality Initiative data reports that provide turnaround time.
- Retrieves various reports as needed to maintain the efficient flow of the department.
- Covers multiple phone extensions, retrieves and faxes patient reports, takes/delivers messages, and locates individuals for calls throughout the day.
- Retrieves lab results for CT when the department is busy.
- Assists in the handling of dosimetry badges, accounts/records, correspondence, and reporting for the entire department.
- Provides backup coverage for the file room by circulating patients in the hallway, answering phones, takings messages, printing and faxing reports, and creating discs.
- Schedules appointments, and pre-certification exams and makes follow-up calls as needed for patients.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Provides other duties as assigned.
- A High School diploma is required
- Minimum of two years experience in an administrative role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Some IT experience/knowledge.
- Previous experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
- Good oral/written communication skills are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
- Ability to multi-task required.
