RoMan Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Engineerto help us make a difference every day! Are you looking to work with an innovative team in a flexible environment? What you will be doing:

RoMan's Quality Engineer will play a supportive and collaborative role in advancing and upholding quality control procedures to ensure production results align with the specifications of the customer's product requirement.

Responsibilities:

· Set detailed guidelines on what needs to be checked and what the quality standards are.

· Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements.

· Audit our systems based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

· Able to utilize high level competency of industry specifications (AS, ISO, ANSI, ect.) and practices to flow customer contractual requirements to all departments.

· Participates in new product introductions using APQP tools to ensure launch success.

· Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures.

· Identifies control methods for manufacturing processes by performing and updating FMEA’s.

· Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions.

· Inspect product materials for defects and durability.

· Identify the root of technical issues and recommend corrective actions.

· Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.

· Review current blueprints and quality documentation.

· Assist in setting and tracking quality assurance goals.

· Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal compliance.

· Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.

· Control and Disposition of Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR)

· Incoming and outgoing quality inspection

· Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management.

The stuff you know:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.

· Minimum of five years working in Quality, or an industrial manufacturing-related role preferred.

· ASQ certification preferred.

· Experience with utilizing an ERP system.

· Proficient knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

· Experience in lean six sigma manufacturing environment preferred.

· Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 a plus.

· Internal auditor certified required.

· Strong professional ethical values and integrity.

· Familiar with and proven record utilizing problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Why and 8D.

· Skillful ability of verbal and written communication skills.

· Responds swiftly to customers; internal and external. Put the customer first.

· Excellent conflict management skills.

· Establish and maintain collaborative work relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers.

· Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
