Quality Control Inspector - Notrees, Tx (On-Site)

RemX is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our client in Notrees, TX. This is an On-Site, Direct Hire Role! $38-$42 hourly BOE. Requires exp. with calibration of inspection & test equipment and experience in ISO 9001 environments.
The Job:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process; compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:
Job Duties:

• Carries out inspection and test activities per established quality plans, engineering specifications, and procedures verifying that specified requirements are met.
• Monitors overall construction performance regarding technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
• Performs dimensional and visual inspection and/or testing of materials and products to determine compliance.
• Records the results, which provide evidence that the product has been inspected and/or tested.
• These records should show clearly whether the product has passed or failed in accordance with established criteria.
• The Inspector is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.
• Runs tests, keeps records of defects, analyzes products, and oversees procedures.
• The inspector is expected to interface with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel and provide support, if necessary, in interpreting and defining product quality criteria.
• This position may also require operating overhead or a jib crane.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.
• Must have a working knowledge of all industry welding codes and standards including American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, and National Board of Inspection Code for Repairs and Alterations of Pressure Vessels.
• Must have a working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations, Heat Treating, and Paint and Protective Coatings.
• Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
