Quality Control Inspector

Primary Function:

· Dimensionally and visually inspect product at specified stages in production process such as machining, assembly, paint, labeling, etc.

· Record inspection results on appropriate documentation.

· Perform first article inspection as well as multiple spot inspections of all in process parts.

· Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts/material for dimensional, traceability, count, and material accuracy.

· Create non-conformance reports, receiving inspection reports, as well as other internal departmental reports/forms using the Global Shop ERP system.

· Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards.

· Perform various other duties assigned by management or shop floor supervision as needed.

· Must know and understand the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS as required by APIQ1 and ISO 9001:2015

· Assist in monitoring and maintaining current calibration status for all calibrated equipment.

· Create quality documentation data packets for customers including certificates of conformance, MTRs, test reports and other documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

· 3-5 years in a Quality Control inspection role

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment in an API and/or ISO certified company

· Experience inspecting API and ACME threads

· Basic English reading, writing and speaking skills

· Good verbal communication skills

· Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints

· Ability to read measuring devices; ID/OD micrometers, calipers, MRP gauges, etc.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work is vital.

· Basic knowledge of computer operation, Windows, and Microsoft Office

· High School diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 54 per week
