About the role
Department: Product Engineering
Mentor's Title: Lead Engineer
Start Date: May or June 2024
Compensation: Paid
Duration:Summer 2024
Location: On-site
Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with test and measurement activities for new product electrical design. This can involve data acquisition and analysis, assisting with safety and performance testing, creating mathematical models, and 3-D modeling using CAD systems.
- Supports engineering with creation and modification of engineering documentation related to design of the product.
- Prepares periodic project and activity reports, and may deliver presentations to management on projects as directed or assigned.
- Develops Process Standards, One Point Lessons, Standard Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate students working towards an Engineering degree.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural team environment and ability to understand technical concepts.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Functional experience with statistical modeling software such as JMP would be desired.
- Experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, and Word.
