What will you do in this role:
- Partner with our licensed nurses to provide the highest quality of care and service to our residents.
- Provide essential nursing care that involves assistance with resident’s daily living needs while supporting their emotional wellbeing
- Under the supervision of the Director, develops a written recreation plan of care for each resident
- Adhere to and reinforce proper infection control measures
- Partner with Life Enrichment to provide companionship, stimulation and engagement to each resident
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks
- Perform departmental organizational tasks such as documentation in PCC & Life Loop, organization of medical supplies, carts and medical storage areas
You have:
- A talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
- The ability to provide a high level of compassion and care for our elderly residents
- The ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPPA regulations
- The ability to read, write and communicate in English
You might also have:
- Experience as a care partner for the elderly and memory impaired
- Customer service experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The ability to walk the duration of your shift
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- The ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. of resistance
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens
- Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander
