The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for the following:
- Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
- Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the end result
- Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered
- Pull orders accurately as assigned
- Coverage as needed Ensure storeroom area is clean and organized
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Solve customer issues
- Maintain stock
- Rotate product
- Maintain expiration date rotation
- Maintain documents
- Update product pricing
- Confirm deliveries in agreement with purchase order
- Monitor backorders and follow-ups
- Prevent damages
- Conduct inventory
- Update inventory data
- Place orders
- Keep records of incoming and outgoing materials
- Track product
Responsibilities to include but not limited to purchasing and inventory control tasks for food, and non-food items at competitive costs while maintaining quality standards. Data entry and system(s) maintenance. Assist Purchasing Department area(s) assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret, apply and adhere to all Jonathan Club policies and procedures

- Knowledge of products and services of the company
- Computer knowledge, proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Office, EXCEL and Word

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, on shelves at various heights
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store/area
