Salary- This is Part Time position. Hours are M-F 12:30 pm - 5pm or 5:30pm
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for supporting our AP Lead primarily focusing on Freight.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receives and verifies Freight quotes, invoices, and reports; reconciles reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include, reviewing purchase orders, credit memos, invoices, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Answer office phone lines.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- AP and/or Freight billing experience (not required)
- SAGE software experience (not required)
