The Project Manager is responsible for assisting and independently managing projects involving implementation/integration/upgrade of vendor technology solutions to meet identified business needs and fit within the overall strategic roadmap of the Bank. The role will require project planning, resource planning and management, budget management, stakeholder management, risk/issue management, change management, communications management, and vendor relationship management where applicable. They will also assist with monitoring adherence to the project management methodology and discipline. The incumbent will contribute to the development of the ePMO organization, improving the overall consistency, predictability and efficiency of the project delivery and adhering to the key project performance indicators.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Covers all aspects of project management including planning, delivering to time and budget, managing the project team and stakeholder relationships.
- Leads in the preparation of project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle, from inception through execution and closure (e.g. business case, financial analysis, risk register, test plan, change requests, lessons learnt, etc.)
- Swiftly adapt to the high-level business requirements and finalize the approach, estimates and coordinate with Technology and Business representatives to communicate key milestones and timeline.
- Effectively deliver the project within the time and budget, and proactively communicate delivery against the agreed plan.
- Communicate effectively at senior levels across all impacted functional units, including, Operations, Risk, Audit, Finance and Technology, and third-party vendors.
- Identify and manage requirements change, and its implications, across the lifecycle and ensuring deliveries are in line with business requirements. This requires a detailed understanding of the business areas involved in the project and the Project Manager must be able to promptly understand and assist with translating business requirements into technology solutions and vice versa.
- Support the Technology, and all Business teams involved in a project through the full SDLC. This includes ensuring initial analysis is accurate, managing third party vendors, application support teams and working with the business through the UAT phase and ensuring business requirements are met by the system.
- Enterprise-Level Responsibilities:
- Assist in the tracking and reporting of project portfolio performance, including schedule and budget variances, and providing real time, comprehensive, and prioritized views of all projects using the enterprise system of record.
- Develop portfolio status reports for senior management.
- Assist in managing resource allocation to support the project portfolio, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities or challenges.
- Support the identification and resolution of project issues, including resource capacity constraints, risk exposure and interdependencies across project portfolio.

Required Experience:
- Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience of progressive PMO demonstrating consistent delivery results.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Banking experience preferred.
